These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Film Canon mobile application ("Application"), provided by Aram Hakobyan ("Service Provider"). By downloading, installing or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
LicenceThe Service Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Application on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the Application or its content, except as permitted by applicable law.
AccountsSome features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and must be at least 13 years old to create an account. The Service Provider may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Free and Pro FeaturesThe Application is offered on a freemium basis. A portion of the film collections and film-history lessons is available at no cost; the remainder, along with additional features, requires a Pro upgrade. Pro may be purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, or unlocked with a valid promotional code.
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are governed by their respective terms. Billing, renewal and refund requests are handled by the store through which the purchase was made, not by the Service Provider. Prices and the composition of free versus Pro content may change over time.
User ContentThe Application lets you create content such as reviews, ratings, rankings, ballots and double-feature programmes. You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant the Service Provider a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content within the Application, including in areas visible to other members where the feature is designed to be public.
You are solely responsible for your content and confirm that you have the right to submit it. You must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, obscene, infringing or intended to harass others. The Service Provider may remove content or restrict access at their discretion.
Third-Party ContentFilm metadata, posters, trailers and related material are supplied by third-party sources and remain the property of their respective owners. They are presented for informational and educational purposes. The Application does not stream or distribute films.
Acceptable UseYou agree not to:
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". The Service Provider does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of inaccuracies, and may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time. Some features require an internet connection; carrier data charges are your responsibility.
Limitation of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Application. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
TerminationYou may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it. The Service Provider may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms. Provisions concerning user content, liability and governing law survive termination.
Changes to These TermsThese Terms may be updated from time to time. Updates take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the Application after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
